The Lean Sampler workshop is a half-day introduction to Lean for individuals with no prior exposure. The workshop is intended to educate your team about what Lean is and how it can be used to help your organization.

This workshop is ideal for organizations that have heard about Lean but are not sure what it is, or if it can be applied to their industry. Many of the myths of Lean will be addressed and dispelled, including the belief that it is a downsizing tool. Several of the tools of Lean will be reviewed and results from successful implementations will be shared.

Typically, this workshop is combined with a tour of the facility. During the tour, the workshop facilitator will gain valuable insight into your organization's current state. This information will then be used to discuss a potential future state that your organization could accomplish within one to two years. This future state will have much less waste, and product will flow with minimal delay from raw material to the customer.

This workshop is not essential for all organizations. For those companies that already know they want to implement Lean, the Launching the Lean Initiative or Lean Principles workshop are more appropriate.

Upon completing the Lean Sampler workshop, participants will be more knowledgeable about what Lean can do for your organization. The team will be excited about the benefits that Lean can provide both to the company and to the employees.

This workshop is ideal for those members in an organization who can set strategy for the company. There is little point in getting excited about Lean if nobody attending can make the decision to pursue it as a strategy! Managers will learn what Lean can do for the organization, whereas engineers and supervisors will learn more about some of the tools that may be employed.

No prior Lean knowledge is required to attend this workshop, however, participants may want to begin the learning process by reading articles and books about Lean.

Unlike all of our other workshops, there are no workshop binders or Certificates of Completion. Since this is a free workshop expenses will be kept to a minimum.

This workshop is Free! The only costs that will be invoiced are travel, accommodation and meal expenses.
